The Youth Café is pleased to welcome Catherine Wanjiru, a new member of the Advisory Board of Directors.
Catherine Wanjiru is a Projects Associate who brings with her four years of experience, three of those which she spent as a writer. She began as a freelance writer and researcher, and after only a month of working with Virtue book publishers, she was promoted to senior editor.
She acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences with Information Technology and training in Health outreach and leadership from Maseno University. Additionally, she has received extra training in Understanding Diversity and Inclusion for Purdue University and Inclusion and Ideas for a Better World, Future Leaders Connect from the Mollers Institute at Churchill College.
Before joining The Youth Café, Catherine Wanjiru was a writer at Recours Global, where she carried out research and wrote relevant content on the HR field, leadership, and relevant current affairs, as well as reviewing, editing and proofreading medical reports to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with the guidelines for presentation to the relevant clients.
Catherine Wanjiru is the author of various articles, including Scars and Healing. She came in second place in the World of Dreams Poetry creative writing competition.
As a member of the Advisory Board of Directors, Catherine Wanjiru hopes to bring in fresh perspectives that can be blended with others to develop youths in the community, such as using creative arts for mental development.
Catherine Wanjiru is excited about the opportunity to work with brilliant and creative teams at the Youth Café, where she aims to bring her quest to innovate and broaden the horizon, positioning the Youth Café to give measurable solutions to our partners.
