The Youth Café is pleased to welcome Juliet Nkunta Mbesha as a new member of the Advisory Board of Directors.
Ms Mbesha is a project manager and Grant Acquisition Specialist with 14 years of experience in proposal development and design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and closing out of projects, with unmatched talent in budget management and tracking and paying attention to detail.
She graduated from the University of Zambia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education with several capacity-building qualifications in Integrating Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in Design, Monitoring & Evaluation; Fraud Investigation; Managing for High Performance; Project Management; Disaster Management, and Grants Management. She is pursuing her Master's degree in Social Work and Community Development at the University of Zambia.
Ms Mbesha is presently working as a Grant Acquisition Manager at World Vision Zambia in Lusaka. She is in charge of proposal development, disaster management, and creating long-lasting connections with partners, donors, and the World Vision support offices. Her goal is to find new funding opportunities for development and humanitarian aid to fill funding gaps and support the expansion of programs and projects that address the needs of the target communities.
She has been on the boards of several institutions. She was previously a member of Habitat for Humanity Zambia's Finance, Audit, Risk, and Human Resource Sub Committee. She currently serves on the boards of Groups Focused Consultations and the People's Process on Housing and Poverty in Zambia.
Juliet Mbesha will lead and direct the board's other members in her capacity as chairperson. She will also act as a direct point of contact for the board and management.
Ms Mbesha is excited about the opportunity to work with brilliant and creative teams at the Youth Café, where she aims to bring her quest to innovate and broaden the horizon, positioning the Youth Café to give measurable solutions to our partners.
