Intergenerational justice concerns moral relations between different generations. You can look at it from many perspectives. Through a climate lens, it becomes important to look at historical developments, our current situation and relationship between different generations, and our impact on future generations when thinking about intergenerational justice or equity.

In addition, The Youth Cafe is partaking in processes leading up to the adoption of a Global Digital Compact is essential for consolidating worldwide scientific consensus on AI’s potential, risks, and challenges. Therefore, African youth should engage strategically with the “Governing AI for humanity” agenda which is being led by the United Nations (UN).
2024 ECOSOC Youth Forum: Uniting Global Youth for Sustainable Development Goals
Amidst a world challenged by escalating geopolitical tensions, a worsening climate crisis, and rising poverty, the largest UN annual gathering of young people will take place at the United Nations from 16 to 18 April.
Convened by the President of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), The UN ECOSOC Youth Forum is an opportunity for young people to speak up on how to transform the world into a fairer place and on how to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In that context, the Forum is the platform for young people from around the world to engage with UN Member States and other stakeholders on solutions contributing to the realization of the SDGs Decade of Action.
The People Dialogue Festival is committed to fostering vibrant and engaging participation while staying true to democratic ideals. It aims to bridge the gap between policymakers and citizens, valuing the input of all participants in shaping the nation's future. By integrating creative arts, the festival provides a dynamic platform for dialogue, celebrating Kenya's diverse culture and heritage. Through a variety of interactive methods such as workshops, roundtable discussions, and art exhibitions, participants are encouraged to actively engage in sessions tailored to their interests. The festival promotes learning, connection, and collaboration across different platforms, empowering attendees to contribute to discussions at their own pace and preference.
The proposals in Our Common Agenda aim to turbocharge the 2030 Agenda. The specific ideas from the report that are suggested for consideration at the Summit of the Future focus on the “how” of global cooperation, to in turn enable us to deliver on the “what” by: (a) getting the SDGs back on track, while also (b) responding to new opportunities and challenges.

During the Fair There will be a launch of Book Catalogue titled; “99 Affordable Agritechs for Young Agripreneurs” This Catalogue contains 99 affordable Agritechs intended for upscaling in Year 2024 courtesy of Agriculture and Technology Consortiums working closely with the event organizers. The aim of compilation of the agritechs is to enable as many youths as possible select the most appropriate technology suitable to their region and which can be up scaled for their adoption. This move is envisaged to have more youth engage in agriculture as a business across the 47 counties in Kenya.
The Technical Working Party - TEJATI is an important component of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, under the State Department of Agriculture tasked with the mandate of innovatively thinking through the process of ensuring that 470,000 new sustainable jobs are created per year along food and cash crop value chains across Kenya for the period between 2024 - 2025.
