The Youth Cafe Collaborates with DESIB in a virtual Youth Engagement Session that will bring together youth from different countries and backgrounds in a dialogue to identify barriers to implementing economic, social and cultural rights and approaches to operationalize these rights as a framework for addressing local and global challenges; raise awareness of the young people across the world about economic, social and cultural rights; promote initiatives and diverse implications of the youth; and to strengthen the linkages between the youth-led organizations.

The Youth Cafe’ will host a podcast on Youth and women's political and civic engagement in Africa. The podcast will be interactive, and it will take the format of a panel. TYC participated in the pre-summit Global Coalition Forum in Brussels, Belgium, by giving significant input in developing The Menu Of Possible Commitments to help prioritize, facilitate and enhance youth civic and political participation.

The youth Cafe is delighted to invite you to join us to participate in the second edition of the #LearningPlanet Festival, taking place online, and for free, on January 24th and 25th 2021, on the occasion of the International Day of Education. Initiated by CRI and UNESCO, the Festival is co-designed and co-organised with the #LearningPlanet open community, bringing together organisations and networks from around the world. The goal of the #LearningPlanet Festival is to invite exemplary learning communities and youth movements across the world, as well as educators and committed individuals, to share and celebrate their most significant learnings and achievements.

The Youth Cafe is focusing on, The next generation and Youth inclusion in politics. East Africa is young in democracy and its political institutions are not well established, youth are excluded from important decision-making processes. Governments and policymakers in East Africa are reluctant to include youth in the formal political systems. What future do the youths want and how can they increase their participation in politics? Some of the speakers are Former President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, Former First lady of Mozambique Graca Machel, and Ugandan Political and Human Rights Activist Kifefe Kizza-Besigye among others.

The Youth Cafe has been invited by Global Policy Insights (GPI), London to attend an e-conference ´The Commonwealth: Advancing towards the future with Emerging Technologies and AI' in partnership with Ramphal Institute on 12 Sep 2020, from 08:30 am - 06:00 pm BST London hosting global leaders across the Commonwealth including the honourable Secretary-General of The Commonwealth Baroness Patricia Scotland. The Youth Cafe has participated in different youth empowering programmes hence it has been identified as s a driving force for the development of the youth in Kenya and the organization has been offered a collaboration as a Supporting Youth Organization.
