What Will Our Future Look Like If We Maintain The Status Quo?

The Youth Café wishes to invite young minds to contribute a diverse pool of perspectives on issues heavily affecting the African continent in an upcoming workshop, "Envisioning "One Health" for the future: aligning human, animal and planetary health," taking place on 4 April at 6.30 pm (CET), through which the focus will be on "One Health" and three phenomena it aims at preventing and addressing: zoonoses (diseases spreading from animals to humans), antimicrobial resistance (AMR), as well as food safety and security threats.

In conjunction with partners the International Republican Institute and The Youth Café will hold regional consultations seeking grassroots-level input from youth who are not engaged in the political process to ensure that the priority issues are captured comprehensively. The Regional Youth Summits on Magnifying the Visibility of Youth Leaders are unique in-person events designed by young people for young people convened.

On February 19, 2022, The Youth Café is planning an event to address the informal housing challenge. The key partners in the event include; The Aga Khan University, University of the Fraser Valley, Innovative Governance of Large Urban Systems, UN-Habitat -Youth Café-Urban Economic Forum, and other private sector and community partners who focus on the informal youth housing challenge and its impact on young people.
