We, the African Heads of State and Government, gathered for the inaugural Africa Climate Summit (ACS) in Nairobi, Kenya, from 4th to 6th September 2023; in the presence of other global leaders, intergovernmental organizations, Regional Economic Communities, United Nations Agencies, private sector, civil society organizations, indigenous peoples, local communities, farmer organizations, children, youth, women and academia, hereby:

To mark its 75th anniversary, The Youth Cafe and the United Nations have launched the biggest-ever global conversation on the role of global cooperation in building the future we want. Tackling issues such as the climate crisis, inequality, health emergencies, new patterns of violence and the major changes we are seeing in population and technology; in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and - our shared vision for the future - will require cooperation across borders, sectors and generations.
